Office Policies

Do you see children? Do I really need to have new x-rays taken? What if I need to cancel my appointment? We answer some of the most common questions about office policies below.

Do You Treat Children?

Yes, Dr. Felix treats age 7 and up. Younger children may be seen for evaluation at the doctor’s discretion.

Do You Really Need to Take X-rays?

Digital x-rays and other imaging are crucial to providing appropriate treatment for you or your child. That said, if you have good quality x-rays that are less than a year old, we may be able to use those instead of taking new ones.

What If I Miss or Don’t Show Up for My Appointment?

For the first missed appointment, there is usually no charge. Missed appointments after that are counted as “no-shows,” and you will be billed $50 for each one.

Do I Need to Fill Out Paperwork in Advance?

We ask that new patients complete all new patient forms before coming in for their first appointment. This helps us see you on time and allow other patients to be seen on time, as well. It also gives you the opportunity to be as thorough and thoughtful as possible. The more information we have, the better we can serve you and your family’s dental health needs.

That said, we don’t require you to complete the forms in advance. If you’re not able to do so, just plan on arriving about 20 minutes early for your first appointment to take care of them.

What If I Need to Reschedule My Appointment?

We understand that things happen in life that may force you to change your plans. We just ask that you give us at least 24 hours’ notice so we have an opportunity to offer your original appointment time to another patient. You may be charged a cancellation fee if you cancel or reschedule less than 24 hours before your appointment.
